WOMEN of CHANGE is a strategic fundraising consulting firm that partners with nonprofits to increase their impact and make transformational change in the world. WoC seeks to empower and collaborate with nonprofits to plan, manage, and execute plans to reach fundraising goals and increase impact.
Women of Change was founded by Raquel Virgo, a senior fundraising professional with over a decade of experience. She has worked with organizations in New York, Connecticut, California, and South Carolina in the fields of education, workforce development, homelessness/housing, criminal justice reform, reentry, environmental education, and children/youth development. Since the start of her career, Raquel has raised more than $30 million for nonprofits, helping them grow their budget and impact.
Raquel holds a B.A. from St. John's University in English, and an M.A. in Political Science (Urban Policy and Administration) from Brooklyn College. She is also a member of the Fairfield County chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and a graduate of the 2017 Q2 cohort of 2020 Startups, a competitive business accelerator in NYC.
