 ABOUT

WOMEN of CHANGE LLP (WOC) is a full-service fundraising consulting firm that collaborates with not-for-profit organizations to support their resource and fund development efforts.

WOC's Founder and Senior Consultant, Raquel Marion-Virgo, has nearly two decades of experience in not-for-profit fundraising. Throughout her career, Raquel has worked with grassroots and emerging organizations, as well as those with a long-standing history and reputation of service to communities. Her work has included support to local, community-based, regionally- and state-focused, and national organizations whose efforts span the areas of education, workforce development, homelessness and housing, criminal justice, healthcare advocacy, the environment, children and youth, and philanthropy. Across these areas, Raquel has raised more than $100 million for not-for-profit organizations, helping them to grow their budgets, capacity, and impact.

Raquel holds a B.A. from St. John's University in English, and an M.A. in Political Science (Urban Policy and Administration) from Brooklyn College. She is also a member of the Fairfield County chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a member of Fairfield County's Community Foundation's Nonprofit Consultants Network, and a graduate of the 2017 Q2 cohort of 2020 Startups, a competitive business accelerator in NYC.
